"You don't understand. Now I'm a chef.  I'm no longer a prostitute…" she said as she filmed the interview. I was standing off to the side and had put my hand up to protest when she graciously thanked us.  But she had insisted.  She said she needed to be able to do that.  That was three years ago, after she had completed a culinary course through a Wellspring scholarship.

It has been said that writing makes an exact person.  I wish it were as easy to agree with that statement as it is to believe it.  The truth is that even in writing you have to be selective about what to include and to discard.

Writing to a young pastor, the Apostle Paul urged the young Timothy to take the things he had heard and entrust them to reliable witnesses who would be qualified to teach others (see 2 Timothy 2:1-2). Clearly, the church across the ages and cultures has taken this charge seriously. Here at RZIM, we do too.

In the current climate and direction of the nation's leadership as it pertains to the sanctity of life, sexuality, and marriage, there is a deep and disturbing sense of where we are headed.

The enlightenment is under threat. So is reason. So is truth. So is science, especially in the schools of America.
